Wandering Wally in
Spring Lake, New Jersey

Once upon a time, Wally the Ant, decided to have an adventure!  He had just gotten some new sneakers, contact lenses, and was ready to take walk.  He left Lebanon Catholic School in Lebanon, Pennsylvania early on a sunny morning.  Walking all day and all night, he finally arrived in Spring Lake, New Jersey on November 7, 2005.

His first stop was the beach.  He had never seen the Atlantic Ocean before and met some special animals there.  Can you think of some animals he saw on the beach or in the water?

Then he turned toward H. W. Mountz School because he missed being with children.  On the way to our school, Wally saw some other animals.  What are some of the animals you might see in Spring Lake?

November 22:
Wally wanted to watch us read, do math, and learn about animals, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving.  He loved being with us when our 4th Grade Buddies came for a visit just before Thanksgiving.  Some of our parents met Wally when they came for conferences too.

Wally will be leaving us soon but we have this journal to remind us of his visit!
