~ Moscow, Idaho ~

Moscow is a rural town in Northern Idaho with about 21,000 people. Rolling hills and pine forests surrounds us. We are home to the University of Idaho and are neighbors to Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. We are close to camping, fishing, and white water rafting.

My Town is Important

The important thing about Moscow, Idaho is our Farmer’s Market.

There are big beautiful flowers, good food to eat, jewelry to buy, and music to listen to. The Farmer’s Market is located in downtown Moscow, and is the center of excitement every Saturday morning. Moscow also has great restaurants, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, the Renaissance Fair, the Chipman Trail to walk on, outdoor summer concerts, Rendezvous in the Park, and the Palouse Empire Mall.

But the most important thing about Moscow, Idaho is our Farmer’s Market.

Welcome to Moscow

Our students wrote their own "important" poems.  This is a combined poem, using sentences from all their poems:

The Important Thing About Moscow, Idaho

The important thing about Moscow, Idaho is
we have an ice rink where we can play hockey.

We have the Latah County Fair right in the middle of Moscow.

We have a skate park to ride our bikes and skateboards.

We have a new swimming pool that has a lot of waterslides.

We have many places that you can eat pizza!

We have great pet stores that have rabbits, gerbils, fish, mice, ferrets, hamsters, and guinea pigs.

We have a park called the Butterfly Park. It is a fun place to ride your bike and have picnics.

We have good schools. We can learn and meet our friends and play on the playground. Our schools have nice teachers and principals.

But the most important thing about Moscow, Idaho is that we have an ice rink where we can play hockey.
