Waterford is a small rural town in Loudoun County, Va.
It is a National Historic Landmark located about 50 miles NW of Washington, D.C.
and about 5 miles W of Leesburg. The Waterford village had a population
of 1,071 in 1999. It is located at 77.8° W Longitude and 38° N Latitude.
The most important
thing about Waterford is that we work hard to take care of Waterford and each other.
We learn stuff at Waterford
School.
Some of us live here in the village.
There is a lot of space around Waterford.
The teachers at Waterford school are good.
There are very kind people in our town.
It is one of the truly old towns left in our country.
We have a Waterford Fair where we have olden crafts.
We have trick-or-treating in the village and
the school decorates the houses.
We have many friends.
We have an old school where the students do a play
and dress up like students long ago.
But the most important thing
about Waterford is that we work hard to take care of Waterford and each other.

When our class studied Waterford, we
made models of some of the historic houses and, with the help of our fourth grade buddies,
laid them out to make a big map of Waterford.
