~ San Antonio, Texas ~ San Antonio is mostly urban.
However, we have outlying suburban areas that are still considered San
Antonio. Our population is 1,144,646. That's over one million people! During our Communities unit we learned a lot about our city and it's workers. After reading Margaret Wise Brown's The Important Book, we wrote the following class poem about San Antonio using the book's format. You can read each individual student poems on our class website.
