The most important thing about Marshalltown is there are lots of places to go in our community.

At Fisher School, we learn and have fun!
The hospital is important to help sick people.
Our class really likes to eat at McDonalds.
We like to shop at the Marshalltown Mall.
Our new "Aquatic Center" is cool!
The Public Library has neat books, movies, and CD’s to check out.
It is fun to go to Wal-Mart. You can buy groceries there, too.
The Marshalltown Fire Department is Fisher School’s partner in education. First grade had a fantastic field trip there in October.

But, the most important thing about Marshalltown is there are lots of places to go in our community.

Students chose a place in Marshall town that they had visited to write about. They drew pictures to illustrate their writing. Students had a Marshalltown book of digital pictures taken of places in our community. As they learned about community jobs and other important places, the students wrote information in their books.  Click to see our entire project.
