~ My Town Is Important 2003-2004 ~ Mrs. Harris Third Grade Class |
This project was done in conjuction with our social studies curriculum communities and local history. We used The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown as a springboard. We used our individual schema to create individual poems and then a class poem. Illustrations and dimentional pieces were created to go along with the poems. Since we have a new mayor, we made him a large poster of our poems and we hope to have him visit our class soon. Visit our class webpage to see all of our project work.
