This was a very appropriate project for my 1st grade class. The poem will be great to use
with other subjects also. Thanks for another great project for collaboration. ~ Pam

The project was perfect! I thought it was very appropriate for my class (second
grade). We thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and creating our class
"town" poem together. We also took it a step further and each child wrote
their own personal poem about what they think is important!...I put their poems (with
illustrations) into a classmade book and it goes home every night with a different student
(it's accompanied by the real book written by Margaret Wise Brown). We loved doing
this project! Thanks- Donna Marshall

This has been a very beneficial experience. My students know more about their
hometown than ever before. They also enjoy reading about the other towns featured.
Thank you again for letting us participate in this project. It was great.

We learned so much from this project. I sent the stories to our District Superintendent.
He asked if he could come have the students read the stories to him. It was such an honor
and made them feel so important!
Thanks again, Georgia Cloer
