Each student wrote an 'Important Poem' about our town as part of our study of communities.   The poems are bound together in a class book that will travel to each student's home to be shared with their
families.

Here's our class writing sample, written by the smarties of 2B-G:

THE IMPORTANT THING ABOUT OLD TAPPAN

The important thing about Old Tappan is that
it is our community.
It is in New Jersey, it has parks, and it
has baseball fields.
It has beautiful houses, it has fabulous stores
and three wonderful schools.
But the important thing about Old Tappan is that
it is our community.
