Port Jefferson Station, New York Is Important!

The red star shows you where our community is located on a Long Island Map.

Boyle Road Elementary School is a Kindergarten through 5th Grade Building. This is our principal, Mrs. Hull, reading to us in the library.

Here is the newest Cross Sound Ferry, The Grand Republic.  It takes passengers across the Long Island Sound from Port Jefferson to Bridgeport, Connecticut.

There are many festivals held throughout the year down in Port. This dog is participating in the Hounds on The Sound Festival.

These two girls are taking part in the Charles Dickens Festival, which is held every December.

During the summer the Irish Festival is held. This ship is a replica of the “Jeanie Johnston”, which brought Irish immigrants to America during the Great Potato Famine.

Patriot’s Day Festival is a day where we celebrate our country’s history, with parades and re-enactments.

 Our Important Poem

The most important thing about Port Jefferson Station is that we have A LOT of great friends.

Our town also has a ferry that can take people from Port Jefferson over to Connecticut. Every Spring, the 5th graders go on a field trip and take that ferry over to Mystic Seaport.

When you are down in Port, you can also visit many different shops and eat at restaurants like The Steam Room.

We also  love to go to Rocketship Park. There are many slides and fun things to play on  there.

But the most important thing about Port Jefferson Station is that we have A LOT of  great friends.
