Our Town: Auburn

Auburn is a small rural city located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. There are nearly 30,000 people living in Auburn. There are many things to do and see in Auburn

We go to Owasco Elementary  School which is one of the five elementary schools in Auburn.

Our Project

First, we read The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown.  We then made a list of what we thought was important in Auburn. Then we took turns taking pictures of places in Auburn.   As a class we wrote a poem and each of us wrote about our special places.  Finally we each wrote in The Important Book format about our place.

What Is Important About Auburn, New York?
