Spring is a nice time of the year.
The sun shines brightly on us and it gets warmer. Sometimes we have thunderstorms or showers. Red-breasted robins return and sing "Cheer up!"
Horses have colts, cows have baby calves and birds lay shiny blue or speckled eggs.
Crocus and red tulips are the first to bloom.
Grass turns green.
Ranchers burn the dead grass in the pastures
so new grass can grow.
And That’s What Happens When It’s Spring!

I like spring.
Things are growing.

The flowers bloom here.
The leafy trees are near.

Robins return.
Grass fields burn.

In the spring it is warm.
In the spring there are storms.

There I see lots of vines.
Sometimes the sun will shine.

The birds all sing.
