That's What Happens When It's Spring!

Some of our favorite spring books are:
That's What Happens in the Spring by Elaine W. Good
Poems for Spring selected by Robert Hull
Beginning to Learn About Spring
by Richard Allington and Kathleen Krull

We read about spring and discussed the signs of spring in our area. Then, we looked at different forms of poetry: 5w's, Senses, Acrostic, and Spring is...! Finally, we voted on the form of poetry each class would like to write and worked cooperatively to write our poem. The students used KidPix3 to illustrate their copies of the class poem.
