Check out what other teachers have made using the Quiz Lab and Quia websites, Drag and
Drop dynamic html codes,
and PowerPoint slideshow lessons.
Here are two of the best sites to make your
activities. You also can access quizzes made by other teachers to use with your students.
They have different features so it's helpful to visit both sites.
Quiz Lab
Quiz Lab is part
of Learning Network's FunBrain.com.
Take a look at their page to get an overview on how you can utilize the teacher-made
activities/quizzes in the classroom.
You can get a 30-day free trial; individual teacher membership is about $40 for a year.
This Subject Quiz Library provided by teachervision.com (another
Learning Network partner) is a great resource for online quizzes.
One terrific feature of Quiz Lab is the opportunity to include FunBrain skill-practice
games as well. You can find the perfect game for your class to play at:

M.Nash, a 2nd grade teacher from
Wisconsin, can be called the "Quia Queen" when you see all the activities she
has created for her students!
"I would like to share the various ways I use the Quia site. I make a class
page where I write weekly notes and assignments for parents and children. Some of the
information I leave on there for a long time. I list homework assignments or unit
objectives, dates to remember et. al. I also create and load games based on the specific
skills we are working on. (spelling quizzes, reading vocabulary words etc.) Every game I
create on the site goes under Quia Activities. If I find other Quia games created by other
Quia users, they are loaded under Useful Links. Whenever I want my kids to visit an
internet site or game, I just load it onto my Quia home page which I have titled
"assignments".
We are currently working on the Frosty Readers 2002 project, so I loaded the student
showcase page from one of the previous Frosty projects. My students and I went into the
computer lab and read all of the stories etc. The Quia site is a wonderful resource for me
because this is the place where I store any website I want students or parents to view. By
the way, Quia stores all of the games you create, so I have plenty of games stored, not
loaded on the page! Take a look at how I use the Quia website."
