In September, Techno Teddy came to visit us from a second grade classroom in Ellenville, New York.  Since we all had such a good time we wrote a class poem about Techno Teddy's favorite places.  We also made paper quilt squares for a Bear Paw Quilt.

Techno Teddy at Mc Kee School

A poem by Miss Huling's First Grade
November 2002

Techno Teddy came to school
He thought Mc Kee was really cool!

The pool was not the place for him
Techno Teddy could not swim!

He sat with Emily on a chair
Keeping cozy in the warm, moist air.

He went to the gym and had some fun
Even though he couldn't run.

He went to Tera's house one day.
He couldn't wait to go out and play.

Computer lab -  he did KID PIX!
He made a picture of some sticks.

When he went to art with us
On his paper he drew a bus.

In music class we sang a song
And Techno Teddy sang along!

He learned to spell so many words
Like and and all and fall and birds.

He liked the library, where he found
Some books about bears underground.

On our paper quilt he saw
A place to put a paper paw.

He said goodbye to every friend
Got back in the computer and we clicked send.

He'll travel to places all around
Some that we've already found.

Techno Teddy will travel all year
To find him you can click right here!

We used our Bear Paw Quilt as the background for our Thanksgiving play for the scenes in one of the Pilgrims’ houses.
