 After
listening to Margaret Wise Brown's Important Book, we tried
to use her format to tell about different things we were familiar
with. We talked about what we thought was important about rain and
snow and even one of our classmates. We agreed that this would
be an interesting way to describe Christmas too.Then we made a list of many different Christmas topics. Each student selected one to write about. Mrs. M. modeled (with student help) the important things about Christmas lights. We used a 4 square graphic organizer to plan the work. Revision and editing were done in student/teacher conferences. Students did the illustrations and Mrs. M. did the typing. |

your house on Christmas Eve. Santa lives at the North Pole. He is nice to you.
