Oh, the Places We'll Go!

In our class, we
read The Important Book (Margaret Wise Brown). We wrote poems about being
in Mrs. Rastin's class and living in Canada. We decided to write a poem about our
city, London, Ontario. There were lots of things that we wanted to say and we had to
choose carefully. We liked writing the poem, and now some of us are writing other
"Important" poems. Thank you for letting us be a part of this project.

The important thing
about London is the people.
The Thames River runs through and its called the Forest City.
There are schools to learn in and churches to sing and pray.
There are hospitals and stores.
You can check out the dinosaurs at the Childrens museum
and the real animals at Storybook Gardens.
Swimming in Fanshawe Lake is fun,
BUT the important thing about London is the people.
