Our class hosted a project based on Margaret Wise Brown's, The Important Book. The "important thing" about being part of an Internet project is that we can share our writing with many people! We wrote or dictated our sentences and Mrs. McGowan helped with editing and spelling.

Our Town Is Important

The important thing about Spring Lake, New Jersey is that nice people live here. Our town also has good parks, playgrounds, hotels, restaurants, and shops. The ocean and beach, schools and teachers are great. There are beautiful houses and streets and brave fire fighters and policemen. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is that nice people live here.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the Community House. The Community House has a library and a ballet center. Our town also has great parks. People play in the park. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the Community House.

The lake has beautiful ducks and nice flowers around it. Spring Lake also has a great school with nice teachers. The boardwalk is important because it is right next to the ocean. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the lake.

The important things about Spring Lake, NJ are Mikes snack shop and the church. Mikes has the best hot dogs and across the street you can see boats. Another important place is the church near our block. It looks like a British church and it's the church where my mom and dad got married. So the most important things about Spring Lake are Mikes and the church.

I like it. It is where I live. This town also has a good basketball team and the beach is great in the summer. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is my house.

The library has all the books you need. The Community House is good too and Spring Lake has good parks. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the library.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the ocean's waves. They let surfers go on them. At Jean Louise Candy shop, I can get Beanie Babies and candy. At the pet store, I could get a rabbit. At the playground, people could go on the monkey bars. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the ocean's waves.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the fire house. It's a big building where they keep the fire trucks. Our school is nice because it has a good principal and teachers. Our Brownie Troop meets at the school and we have lots of fun. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the fire house.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the Jean Louise Candy Shop. I like their candy. The gummy worms are the best. The town has great parks. Kids can play on the playground. This is a good town for having fun. Even school is fun sometimes. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the Jean Louise Candy Shop.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is that dogs can go on the beach. My dog plays fetch. Sometimes she digs in the sand and even jumps in the water. So the most important thing about Spring Lake is that dogs can go on the beach.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the ocean. It has big waves and a nice beach. Spring Lake also has a great Chocolate Shop, a lake with lots of fish, and good playgrounds. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the ocean.

The important thing about Spring Lake, New Jersey are the shells on the beach. Sometimes the shells are pretty and shiny, and sometimes you can hear the ocean. Our school has good shows, nice teachers, and the building is getting bigger. We can ride our bikes here and we have good laws. But the most important thing about Spring Lake are the shells on the beach because they are part of nature.

When I am hot, I go and swim in the water at the beach. Spring Lake also has good parks and a beautiful lake. But the most important thing is the ocean.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the train. The train takes me places. It took me to New York City. I like the candy shop too. We also have a great hair salon. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the train.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is Tinkerbells Store. I always go to buy toys there. I like the Chocolate Shop too. The boardwalk is a very special place next to the beach. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is Tinkerbells store.

The important thing about Spring Lake, NJ is the downtown. Some of the streets have a lot of shops and places to eat. In Spring Lake, everyone is very nice. It's very busy in the summer because we have a great beach. Spring Lake is a terrific community. But the most important thing about Spring Lake is the downtown.
