Junie B started first grade in Room One.  Her teacher's name is Mr. Scary. Some of her friends' names are May, Lucille, Camille, Chenille, Herbert, Lennie, and Jose.  Junie B had a little problem in the beginning of the story. She couldnt see the words on the blackboard.  Mr. Scary took Junie B to see Mrs. Weller, the school nurse. She gave Junie B an eye test. They called it the E game.  If you would like to find out what happened in the nurse's office, you should read Junie B. First Grader At Last.

Our favorite part of the story was when Junie B showed the class her glasses during show and tell.

Our favorite parts of first grade so far are learning new things, math and drawing.

Students in Miss Bricker’s first grade class chose Junie B., First Grader (at last!)  as their favorite book.  They drew pictures showing their favorite part of the story.  Some of the students wrote a book review on one of their favorite Junie B. story.   They also made a puzzle for an important scene from their book.

Junie B., First Grader (at last!)
By Barbara Park

Junie B. has finally started first grade but things are not starting off very well for her though!  Lucille and Grace have made new friends so Junie B. is feeling lonely.  Also, Junie B. is having  a hard time reading the words on the chalkboard.  Read the book to see how things turn out in  first grade for Junie B. Jones. All first graders and Junie B. fans will love this book!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our class voted on the Junie B. Jones books we liked the best. Of all the books we have read this year (and there were a lot of them, we chose to review Junie B. Jones is a First Grader (at last!) as our favorite book. It was very close because we really liked all of the books but Ms. Hedden made us choose one as our favorite, so here goes!
When Junie B.'s friends broke up with her but a boy was sitting behind her and he became her friend. We like the part where she thought the words on the board were but and bull, but it was really bat and ball. We like it because it was funny. We would recommend this book to other kids because there are more characters.
Dominique, Morgan, Cole,
Courtney and Dakota
We like the part when Herb tried on Junie B.'s glasses. Find out what the rest of the story is by reading the book yourself. We liked the book and we hope you will too! We would recommend this book to other kids!
Katherine, Kylee, Kathleen and Brian
On show and tell Junie B. brought her purple glasses to school. May jumped up and said, "look, look Junie B. has glasses and they're purple." Junie B. didn't like first grade, and suddenly she changed her mind, she liked first grade. It was by Barbara Park. We liked it because it turned bad and then good. We would like you to read this book.
Dan, Alex, Brittanie and RoseAnna
Junie B. is at school and it is time for show-and-tell. She brings her glasses and she is writing in her first grade journal. She was to scared to show off her glasses. We liked the book because it was funny and cute. We would recommend this book to other kids. It was very fun!
Savanna, Aimee, Marcelino and Martin
We liked the part when Junie B. drawed a chicken screaming
Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!
We recommend this book because it's a cool book.
Ashley, Mark, Kailey, Kyle and Caleb
We hope you enjoy reading this book as much as we have. Have fun with all your reading, especially Junie B.! She's the bestest!
Junie B. Jones - First Grader (at last)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's a hardcover book.  Junie B. Jones doesn't like first grade!
Her two good friends from Kindergarten dump her and she has a "scary" teacher.   Some words on the board look smeary and she doesn't do well playing the E game with the school nurse.  You'll have to read the story to see how her problems get solved. We liked it a lot!
