Fall Books:
Nuts To You by Lois Elhert
Who
Will Help? (Creative Teaching Press) |
|
Our class read several fall books we really enjoyed. One was
called Nuts To You by Lois Elhert. The story is about a gray squirrel
and we
see the exact same squirrels everyday on the trees outside our
classroom!
After our trip to the apple orchard, we read a story called Who
Will Help?
(Creative Teaching Press). This story is similar to the Little
Red Hen
but the hen asks her animal friends to help her with the jobs
involved
in making applesauce. Since the animals don't help, no applesauce!
Our class learned from this and were all eager volunteers to
help
make our class applesauce. Our delicious recipe is easy...lots of
apples and one spoonful of water!
We also decorated a class pumpkin which we later visited on
display at our city greenhouse.
