We have been discussing changes that happen in the fall to animals and to the weather.  We were able to make a great web of information from the video, Fall Brings Changes.

We have been studying rhyming poems this fall and decided to make our “Fall is Here” poem rhyme too.   Since our Canadian maple trees are so colourful this fall we chose to write our class poem about them to add a Canadian maple flavour to poems being submitted. The pastel pictures the students created depict many changes that happen in the fall.

Fall is Here

Leaves in the fall.

Yellow, green, orange and red
Leaves fall when they are dead.
Falling, falling on the ground
I see leaves all around.
When I walk they go crunch
Under my feet they scrunch.

Into the leaves I will jump

Through my veins my blood will pump.

Fall is here.  We love it!

We also have been writing individual poems on animals hibernating and migrating.  Click on the images to see a larger version.
