Mrs. McGowan's Class

Thanksgiving Treasures

Let's focus on all the good things we have in our country, communities,  neighborhoods, and classrooms.   These are our treasures to share with students, families and friends.

The Thanksgiving sites presented on this page are some of my favorites. Additional resources will be added throughout autumn.

If you have a site or book that you can highly recommend, please send the address and I will include it.

We Gobble Up Good Books!

These turkeys on our classroom door liked to read good books.

They were made from 3 pieces: tail feathers, body, book.

The turkey wings are folded to hold the book. Our students invented the  book titles.

Use the perforated edges from old computer paper to decorate turkey feathers.  Each large feather has a strip of 10 holes or "dots" making 5 groups of 10.
